1. Introduction

This website is an attempt to convey some of my knowledge of Analytical chemistry of a very specialised area i gained in working at BNFL Sellafield.

Below is a diagram of the area of the periodic table in which the Actinoids (or sometimes spelt Actinides) reside:-

When looking at any analytical chemistry of the actinoids, their radioactive properties must be understood. All the actinnoids are radioactive in some form or other and each have differening degrees of radioactivity.
