This should give an idea of the structure (both micro and atomic), properties and problems with these alloys.
Choosing a frame that suits your style of riding isn't easy and the last thing you want is components breaking or bending at high speed! Hopefully this website should cover most of the major alloys used in this industry (such as 4120 Cro-moly, 7075 Alu, 6061 T6 and 8010 Alu) and help you choose the right frame for you with the least ammount of problems...
