Introduction

Pain-killing drugs or analgesic's fall into two main categories:

1. Opioid (see terminology link)

  • Morphine
  • Codeine
  • Heroin
  • Methadone
  • 2. Non-Opioid

  • Aspirin
  • Paracetamol
  • Ibuprofen
  • A poppy - natural source of opium the source of opiates such as morphine.
