An Introduction To DNA

DNA is the bluprint for life. It contains coded instructions for cells. These instructions are for everything that every cell does and is. DNA tells which cells to grow, which to die and which function each should perform. It is the DNA that tells a cell it should be, say, a brain cell or a nerve cell. DNA controls everything about us, down to what colour our eyes are. We resemble our parents because our DNA comes from a combination of theirs.

So, as you can see, DNA is essential for life. As such it is a fairly complicated molecule. In these pages ae shall look at the structure of DNA. The structure that is necessary for DNA to perform its vital function.
